An American artist (want to be) living and working on the beautiful, friendly island of Taiwan. I was a pilot for more than twenty years and believe it or not it is having an effect on my sketching. I want my sketches to be free, fluid, expressive, but I find myself paying too much attention to detail and trying to be precise with my lines and angles. I believe this is a result of my flying airplanes for so long-where you can get into trouble real quick if you are not precise about what you do. Anyhow, I’m trying to train myself to loosen up. We’ll see what happens as my blog progresses. Any thoughts on this problem would be welcomed with open arms.
